Fishing report 10/23/2015

It's been a windy week in Key West.  With 20-30 knot gusts kicking up the waves offshore, most of the charterboats stayed tied to the docks.  We took a mini vacation to Ft. Lauderdale to get "off the rock" for a few days.  The winds are starting to drop today and it looks like we'll have a pretty decent weekend.  Outside the reef, the waves are 2-3 ft this morning, and inside the reef 1-2 ft.  The fishing has continued to be good along the reef for yellowtail snapper, grouper, and the occasional mutton.  We still have a bit of westbound current, which makes reef fishing productive.  Goombay, Fantasy Fest and the zombie bike ride bring thousands of people to Key West this week, and hopefully some of them will want to go fishing also!  If you need more info, or would like to schedule a trip, click the link below. Thanks, Capt. Taylor
