Key West fishing report 7/1

b4.jpg

I had a bunch of good trips this past week both offshore and inshore.  We had nice weather all week, and caught some nice fish on each trip.  Offshore the dolphin fishing has been steady, but the schools have been spread out.  Most of the fish are small, but there have been a few bigger fish and billfish mixed in. There are weedlines from the reef to 30 miles out, some patches bigger than football fields.  The snapper spawn is starting to happen, and they should be gathering up on the reef with the full moon.  There are still some nice sized snappers in the harbor, with some tarpon schools around also.  The reef has been tough for yellowtails with no current, so I've mostly been fishing the channels where we have tide movement.  The weather and sea conditions have been fantastic!  If you are looking to get out, I can be reached at 305-923-6977.  Thanks! Capt. Taylor
